El amor de estos jóvenes era prohibido, pertenecían a distinto código postal; un día decidieron cruzar el Atlántico en botes pequeños para llegar al país del Norte. El bote de “Capi” sufrió un percance y fue devuelto a tierra firme. Años después y desde distintas ciudades viajan a Cartagena, se casan, ella se embaraza, pero la felicidad no es completa por lo tanto deben encontrar la forma de que El viaje al país del Norte donde ella ahora es ciudadana. Cartagena es puerto de escala de grandes cruceros y Capi hace amistades con algunos tripulantes que lo invitan a pasar el día en las instalaciones de uno de los mas grandes barcos de turismo de la época. Con sus amigos Capi come, bebe y se divierte, más tarde descansa en la habitación de un amigo. Cuando y mira por la boya, Cartagena era solo un minúsculo punto en el horizonte.
