Lego-Up
02/22/2015
Schools priorizes to work with 2D learning tools and sometimes learning becomes abstract because we live in a 3D world. To improve this, we wish that all the children could work with their hands using Lego so learning becomes 3D and understandable. We tested a Lego 3D language tool during our period of homeschooling. . Using our hands has made learning easier and fun for us. All children deserve this. As Lego already exists, to implement this idea worldwide, is a question of willing. However, we invent a new program to help to develope this idea. This program could help to build with our hands any structure using Lego bricks. We would like to call it Lego-Up. And Lego-Up-App would help to spread this idea and make our dream come true. Schools has priorized 2D universal languages but we live in a 3D world so learning becomes abstract and difficult, even more if you have any learning difficulties. Humans loose manual skills as shown by Disney Pixar WALL.E! We researched and we found that using our hands is helpful to understand concepts better. Touching 3D objects improves long time memory and mental agility and creativity expands. We chose this problem because we used our hands in our learning and the results were exceptional. We propose to use the hands in schools with Lego bricks as a tool for 3D language. Everyone can also follow Lego visual instructions. All teams we contacted communicate with Lego 3D language! To integrate Lego at schools, as regular tool to work in any topic (maths, geography, ...), we propose a simple design program like Sketch-up to draw a 2D figure. With one simple click, the program transforms the 2D figure into a 3D Lego structure, with the instructions, the type of pieces and the quantity needed. We named it "Lego-Up" (to be aproved by Lego). With Lego-Up anyone can use Lego in an easy way. Lego-Up helps giving the instructions to build their design, using their hands, easily. So, all learning becomes 3D. And this invention improves education of those with learning difficulty. We also thought on a visual digital resource called "Lego-Up-Apps" that works as a "library". For example, to learn about tsunamis you could go to Lego-Up-App and look for projects already published. Lego is already in schools to work with specific topics. Lego proposed solution is great but limited (eg. “MoreToMaths”). Our innovation is that Lego becomes unlimited to any topic and can be a common tool like any pencil or notebook ... Anything to be studied, can be done with our hands with Lego 3D language. And our innovative program Lego-UP, can help to translate any idea into Lego language in a faster way than the already existing Lego Digital Designer is doing. Lego-Up would only use a few basic bricks. We studied that with only 9 types we can build anything we want. The structures would be as simple as possible so students can recognize them immediately (Lego Digital Designer is great but uses too many different types of pieces). And Lego bricks are recycable and cheap compared to other materials, so you can make as many projects as necessary with the same type of bricks. For example, we built a UK telephone box to study math scales. So, we easily understand a math concept.

Second Spanish logo
05/29/2020
Emma Pla
The logo has 2 parts: a books image on the left hand side and letters (words) on the right hand side. On the right hand side, there are the words "Second Spanish", one on top of the other, in red colour. On the left hand side, there is a pile of 2 aligned closed books, united by their back covers and therefore with spines facing opposite directions. The spine of the top one can be seen but not the bottom one. The top one's cover has the colours of the Spanish flag (red-yellow-red) completely covering it and these colours extend through the spine and move to the back cover. The image on the back cover of the top book can not be seen but it does a turn to also become the back cover of the book at the bottom. The two back covers of the books therefore make an "S" red shape to the eyes of the viewer.

This might sound strange at first, but it is true if you understand what the meaning of "C:OW P:OWER" is from a business world perspective. The question here is about the meaning of a non-existent word called "cowpower". We are not talking about real cows, nor the power that they possess. No, this is something entirely different as it relates to "professional people". We are talking about "professionals" who possess something called "C:OW P:OWER". Before we examine the meaning of this new acronym, we need to recall what it means to say that someone is a "professional". If you are a professional read this book to find out if you possess "C:OW P:OWER".

When dealing with a difficult person, it is important to identify what you mean when you say that someone else is difficult to work with. It is not always easy to identify who the difficult one is. However, it is easy to point a finger at another person and declare them as the "difficult" person. Sometimes after some self-reflection, you might discover that the person who is really being difficult is you yourself. If this happens to be the case, then the solution to the problem of working with a difficult person can be resolved sooner, especially since it is "you" who can make the choice to not continue being "difficult" to work with. Look into a mirror, and ask yourself whom the difficult person is that you are dealing with at work. Is it you?

Copyright registered by Bubok Publishing. BOOK #2 - THE SEVEN POWERS OF SILENCE IN BUSINESS© It is wise to understand the role and usage of "silence" in the business world. It is comprised of seven unique powers that can help you achieve business success. The secret, however, is to know how and when to use these powers in order to accomplish your goals and objectives. It is curious to observe that most people are uncomfortable with silence, and find it especially difficult to use and put into business practice. Since we live in a world of noises and constant audible distractions, the idea of silence almost seems non-existent. Think about this for a second. When are you actually aware of silence? For example, maybe you notice it at night when you are sleeping, when you are alone somewhere outside during a vacation out in the countryside, or when you are reading a book in a quiet library. Nevertheless, something can always interrupt the silence in the three previous examples; for instance, the sound of your neighbor's voice, a dog barking at night, or the sound of a book falling on a table. Discover the SEVEN POWER OF SILENCE that can be used in business.
