Two kinds of power divide the wizard's world: dark and light. Since the beginning of time these powers have been offered to humans to establish an equilibrium with nature. But some wizards sought more: rebelling to dominate humanity. After three Dark Wars, peace has lasted for twenty years—though the Black Coven came dangerously close to victory once. Twenty-five years old wizards are trained every year at the Darklight Academy, preparing for the possibility of a new war. Among them is Robyn, a young wizard unaware that the fate of the world rests in her hands. As she and her friends train and face new challenges, the Black Coven is quietly plotting its return. Robyn must choose her path—and nothing is as it seems.
