SlapBox™ is a safe and controlled combat sport created by Edwin Rivera-Mendez. Competitors use flat gloves and execute only lateral strikes above the waist, including a signature “Top Cat” elbow strike from above toward the forehead. Matches take place in a 10-foot diameter circle, with three to four rounds of five minutes each, under the supervision of two judges, a referee, and medical personnel.
