About the work

This paper explores how the figure of the Beast in Revelation 13 can function as a mirror for contemporary experiences of abuse of power in workplace settings. Starting from an autoethnography of a specific “workplace apocalypse,” it proposes understanding the Beast as an ego-system: a configuration that weaves together emotional, narrative, relational, and institutional layers around the logic of pride and image preservation. The methodology combines lived-experience narrative, analysis of personal meaning, situated biblical hermeneutics, and dialogue with symbolic–psychological readings of Revelation, and draws practical implications for accompanying people who are going through workplace apocalypses.
