You told me I was to blame for your life
that I was no longer the same
but a shadow growing ever more distant
You left me at some random station
like a lost suitcase
or the stone that hadn’t let you fly
Then time passed
the rain passed
all the promises the world
placed in your hands when it left me behind
And then you looked back with new eyes
discovered my hands
like other hands you had never seen before
and you came back to me
to the suitcase that had to be opened
to be scattered
to try something
so as not to get lost
And at the station where everything became forever
you no longer found the suitcase
nor the past
