About the work
Oh! What we silence, it burns through our voice,
and what we bury comes back with no choice.
I called you “friend” — that was my crime,
but you were my heaven, my perfect rhyme!
You silence our truth and kiss her brow,
I’m the fire you hide, but feel somehow.
You toast to her love, but in your dreams,
you scream my name in muffled screams.
You swear you're steady, but shake in my arms,
your soul split in love and forbidden charms.
You say you've chosen, but in your stare
burns the secret we still share.
I’m the flame that never fades, I’m the softest end,
I sing with the earth, no need to pretend.
I don’t chase, I don’t retreat, I was born to reign,
and love finds me without calling my name.
Let him stay in his paper-made shell,
I walk fire, I dance through hell.
Though I’m quiet, my soul still knows:
no one will love him like I do.
He thinks he’s free, but I’m in his core,
no matter how far, he’ll seek me more.
I wasn’t a choice, I was the truth—
the flame he can’t outburn or lose.
Though he denies, his soul still cries,
in dreams he breaks, his silence lies.
No chain can erase what's true and old—
I’m his fire, his curse, his hold.
Among the vows the wind swept away,
and the silence no one dared to betray,
I walk ahead, eyes on the sky,
yet in my chest, you’ll never die.
If you still dreamed me, you’d feel the flame,
my fire in shadows, blood calls your name.
Though you deny me, though you depart,
I’m the one aching deep in your heart.
Oh, let fate never sever this line!
Your soul and mine, in sacred design.
Though others may kiss you, hold you tight,
I am the fire that burns out of sight.
