Sami, an introverted dog from the 21st century, struggles with the pressure of choosing between a secure, profitable future or following his true passion for music. In search of answers, he visits a magical antique shop where an enchanted kantele transports him to the world of Kalevala. There, he meets Väinämöinen, Ilmarinen, and Lemminkäinen, though the kantele breaks upon his arrival, leaving him trapped while a villager works on repairing it. Despite feeling out of place, Sami becomes a key ally to the heroes, using his modern ingenuity to help them in magical challenges, such as the battle of wits against Joukahainen. During their quest for the Sampo, Sami learns the importance of wisdom, creativity, and courage, realizing that true wealth lies in pursuing one’s passions. When the kantele is finally repaired, Sami returns to his world, determined to live according to his dreams, leaving behind a message of authenticity and hope that also transforms the heroes of Kalevala.
