Rise From Defeat is a Feature Documentary Film that explores the most controversial fight in boxing history, where a series of strange events unfolded in the ring
that left the world uncertain, confused, and very divided over their very perception of events that unfolded before everyone's eyes.
Much like Run Lola Run or Rashomon, we’ll lay out this strange series of events in the same spirit as the varying degrees of perception, interpretation, and ultimate judgment that exploded in the aftermath of this infamous sports moment. We’ll take the dynamic and original approach of unpacking the details surrounding the event - from very different and distinct perspectives, each played out and supported as if they are the one and only POV to consider, and then proceed to replay the event over and over, each time through a different POV, angle and with figures supporting each perception.
