A principios del siglo XX, pocas mujeres se atrevían a desafiar las normas sociales y recorrer el mundo en solitario. Dorothea Bate lo hizo y viajó por el Mediterráneo, tras la búsqueda de fósiles de animales extintos, convirtiéndose en una paleontóloga reconocida internacionalmente.
