About the work
Adam “Grizz” James and Brick Hammer travel down the mountain to the trading post and settlement of Twin Springs with their friends Jimmy White Bear and Victoria Brandyberry. They had an excellent winter trapping; between the three mountain men, they had nearly a thousand pelts.
Unknown to Grizz and Hammer, this year’s Rendezvous was held in Yellowstone Valley, and attendance was more than five hundred men and women of every race. It was the best place to sell furs to various trading companies. It was also a place and time for the wild men who lived in the mountains to let down their hair. With free whiskey for all it eventually turns into chaos.
Unknown to the group of friends, outlaws mill among the large crowd as strangers look for easy targets. Some people search for money that isn’t theirs. Those that did not barter their furs for food stock and goods were paid in gold $10 coins.
Victoria Brandyberry and Jimmy White Bear are planning a wedding with Preacher Ben Hill. Will the festivities throw a wrench in the works, or will their marriage go without a hitch? Will Grizz’s old friend Don Diego, the Yaki Indian, influence his following actions?
