About the work
An aging Oslo widow (IDA) and a penniless youth from Minnesota (AKSEL) are named as beneficiaries to the will of the widow’s brother. It’s a big shock to Ida, who has no idea who this combative kid is, and Aksel hasn´t a clue why he was named a beneficiary until both learn the truth from the notary of the will after the funeral of Ida's brother. The will is worth a fortune, and both of them are close to broke. Yet per the terms of the will,
they have 60 days to decide on who gets what. If they can´t agree, everything goes to charity.
The problem is they can't stand each other, both need whatever's in the will , and feel they deserve it all. They have to work it out or they´ll both end up penniless.
They start from the same negotiating position: Me? 100%. You? Zero.
Various characters try to get them to learn how to compromise, but in the end they blow it. Which leads to the most surprising truth about why they were both in the will.
