Overview: Long-term renter and Turkish grandma Zehra is convinced by a young student activist hired to do odds and ends for her (Thijs) to refuse a generous cash offer from an Amsterdam real estate company run by hard-nosed Hendrik Van Asbeck and his sexually ambiguous, golden boy son Sebastian, to move out of the apartment building they just acquired where Zehra is living, leading to a showdown between the Van Asbecks whose tactics to get Zehra out get more and more ruthless, despite efforts of those defending Zehra’s tenant rights to remain, particularly Zehra’s G.I. Jane of a granddaughter Leyla, a new recruit in the Dutch Special Forces, who teams up short, scrawny but brainy Thijs to counter every tactic the Van Asbecks deploy, including a night time eviction raid with the Mayor, Chief of Police and an armed riot squad on hand.
