About the work
JC and Conce Quispe are millennial adult sisters living in pandemic-era Corona, Queens, NYC. Their parents, who raised them in the Unification Church (a new-age Korean Christian cult), have recently paid off the family home and retired abroad, leaving their five daughters (oh yeah, there’s three more of them) to manage the house and, finally, their own lives. The sisters grapple with the growing pains that come with new careers, modern romance, and the changing landscape of their family and the world. Ultimately, the tone and message is one of joy and truth. The Quispe women are not ones to hide their pain; all they ask is that you come along and laugh. At the very least you’re in for a show, because they sing and dance a lot.
