About the work
Pizza delivery driver Aine is hanging on by a thread. She feels like a forgotten soul, a social pariah living in a crumbling ghost estate on the edge of town, until a chance encounter on a Friday night delivery provides her with the opportunity to reverse her fortunes.
Tired of life’s bodyshots, Aine embarks on a journey into Ireland’s desolate, barren countryside armed only with a coffee-van full of pizza, a betting slip and a name: Plunkett Mooney.
He doesn’t know it yet, but Plunkett is the answer to all Aine’s problems. Or at least he would be if he was dead. But Aine soon finds out it’s not as easy to kill a man with a death wish as you’d think…
