“ALKAIOS” is a black and white on-going series for mature readers, mainly fans of mythology, sword and sorcery, but also those who like the more experimental comics that appeared in magazines like Metal Hurlant. It’s a mix of Conan the Barbarian, The Dark Knight Returns, Born Again and Excalibur (by Claremont and Davis).
The narrative makes creative decisions such as characters whose body is made up of comic panels, Alkaios going through the panels of the comic itself, breaking the fourth wall, style changes simulating newspaper strips and comics from other decades or the distribution of panels going to the beat of songs, among others.
