This is a script for an original short film written by Yavor Dimitrov.
Synopsis:
Katy awakes to discover herself on a train that is flying through the clouds over her city. She receives a call from a mysterious woman calling herself “The Guide”. She welcomes Katy to the Spirit Train and informs her that she is here with a task to perform; she must choose four memories that will ultimately shape the direction of her next life.
As Katy settles in and befriends her fellow passengers, she learns that this will not be an easy task. She is warned that she must consider the unintended consequences of her past decisions before committing to any memory. To complicate matters, a mystery arises when it is discovered that Katy’s ultimate life has not been marked on the Spirit Map, nor her memories returned from her past visits aboard the Spirit Train. Seeking answers, Katy calls the Guide but finds her equally baffled; she will need to investigate this.
In the meantime, Katy focuses on her task and shares two of her memories. As she does, her story is taken over and performed by the mythic Mirror Twins, a tool provided for the trial of potential memories. Katy begrudgingly discovers that she was ignorant to some of the consequences of her past decisions. She decides, however, that she has no regrets and so inserts her ticket in the memory reviewer. As she does, she receives a callback from “The Guide”. She informs Katy that she has boarded by mistake. The Mirror Twins discover that Katy had accidentally freed her spirit by meditating whilst drunk. She is given a choice, to return with the knowledge or choose to forget. Which would you choose?
