‘A GOOD STORY TO WEAR’
In a modern world where people are craving the newest, latest trends, slow fashion advocates for taking a step back to reflect on our consumption habits. This project explores the ways in which fashion can contribute to improve our mental health. Speaking with people from the fashion industry, we learn about alternative ways through which to add value or give our clothes a new life. The people involved talk about their conscious and thoughtful journey slowing down and share how their relationship to themselves has changed for the better. The images and stories reveal the pride, confidence, and excitement resulting of wearing garments that represents their uniqueness. The project aims for fashion to be a medium to accept and embrace the self, while making conscious choices that can help to develop a personal style which celebrates our identity and encourages to talk about the story behind it.
