About the work
Based on the true story of the American Diplomat and Trader WILLIAM JARVIS and the largest transatlantic migration of merino sheep in history during the Peninsula War of 1808-1814, "Pepa Merino" is a fictional story created by Avina Media featuring, at first, the first of several flocks of “elite” merino sheep, who produced the best quality wool known at the time – and still among the best today. Jarvis bought and sent more than 3,600 such sheep from central Spain to Vermont between 1809 and 1812.
