About the work
For centuries the City of Sand remained deserted until a nomadic tribe found it, but to their dismay monsters emerged at night to chase them through the ruins. They ran for days until they found refuge in a fortress in the middle of the cursed city. From that moment on, the tribesmen hid behind their fortress’ walls every night. Fifty years later, three teenage boys venture into the city during the night searching for wonders. They are found by the vampire, the leader of all the night creatures, who is bored with chasing humans and decides to play a game with them instead: Through the years the vampire will find them and force them into impossible situations, each time making them choose between equally terrible outcomes. The psychological torture and guilt will test their friendship to the breaking point. Until finally the boys must choose to fight against the greater evil, together.
