About the work
Short story set in a distopian society, with military and war setting, whre there is this unit inhabited with these chosen kids whose work is to assemble bombs and other weapons, and get educated to best serve their country when they grow older. These kids have no names, but numbers. And the story shows the encounter between number 124, a vicious and spiteful little bully, and 121, a bright boy who stands up agains him, with catastrophic outcome. The story is told from the point of view of Sister Aba, one of the teachers and few adults, as well as the only woman in this unit where they live. We follow her reactions to the events told in this ruthless system.
