About the work
Akhera city, salvaged from the destruction caused by a global cataclysm, is attacked by a barbarian force. The leaders of the city (the Nobodies) are a group of genetically enhanced ex- assassins that were bred to kill for the totalitarian world government that ruled their world. Unfortunately for their assailants, the Nobodies prove their well-earned reputation for extreme power. The power gap between them and regular trained warriors is great and it is rare for them to face any difficulty while fighting groups of these. In this instance, they make quick work of their foes, leaving the Nobodies wondering who is behind this new threat to their city.
Within the series a central theme is that of a giant trusting family that is trying to survive and protect their new home city. The city is in a North African setting, and the series explores modern Arab and African socio-cultural norms through the lives of it characters. Nobody’s Home has a lot of different event locations which can divided into two categories: events that take place within the city and events that take place outside the city walls. Notably, the show is set in the recent ruins of a once developed, futuristic, Utopian world. As a result the world is now is filled with people who understand technology, but no longer have access to it.
