The Shoe Collector - 1983.
In distant India, a little homeless girl struggling to survive, steals a pair of shoes embroiled with gold thread from a temple shrine, not knowing that by doing so she unleashes a dangerous demonic force. The shoes find their way into the ignorant hands of Edward Kaufmann, an older man with a hunger for adventure and a weakness for collecting all sorts of stuff. When returning to the quiet town of Marlborough he takes the shoes with him.
Shortly after he dies, his granddaughter Ellis, turned partially sighted by a recent car accident, and her cheeky little sister June are taken by their mother to spend the summer at their grandmother’s country house.
But the Kaufmann family is not alone in the house. At night eerie footsteps wander through the hallways. When Billie, Junes beloved pet disappears in mysterious conditions, the sisters put up a search. But instead of finding Billie, they discover the sinister shoe collection their grandfather secretly kept and with it the demonic force lurking in the dark looking for a new shoe collector…
