About the work
'eighteen' is a autobiographical book written through poetry and illustrated by the author himself (Alberto Ramos Vicario) that tells his story as a gay man; bullying, sexual abuses, suicide, love, trauma, etc. That happened mostly during his time in Stockholm Sweden, where he studied and lived for three years. It is divided into three parts, the first is 'the ending', the darkest, the second is 'the transition' the inbetween, the healing, and the last part is 'the beginning', the most positive and joyful side of the journey. Every illustration and word is made by Alberto Ramos Vicario, the author of the work 'eighteen', named 'eighteen' because of his age in which he lived the experiences the book tells.
