About the work
ABOUT THIS SONG:
This song is based on the Ernest Cline's novel READY PLAYER ONE, released in 2011:
"In the year 2044, the world has been gripped by an energy crisis from the depletion of fossil fuels and the consequences of global warming, causing widespread social problems and economic stagnation. To escape the decline their world is facing, people turn to the OASIS, a virtual reality simulator accessible by players using visors and haptic technology such as gloves. It functions both as an MMORPG and as a virtual society, with its currency being the most stable in the real world. It was created by James Halliday who, when he died, had announced in his will to the public that he had left an Easter egg inside OASIS, and the first person to find it would inherit his entire fortune and the corporation. The story follows the adventures of Wade Watts, starting about five years after the announcement, when he discovers one of the three keys pointing to the treasure." [wikipedia]

LYRIC:
Hey, are you ready to try something new?
Your eyes will tell ya the way you might feel
Those Easter Eggs that you’ve been trying to find
Well, I can tell for sure they're all in your mind
Wake up
The race is already on (you know)
No time to wait
Wake up
You're not alone anymore (come on)
Your chance is now
Hey, are you ready to live in the past?
Where all of your feelings remain and still last
Back to the 80's there is no place to hide
You better run, better fight for your life
Wake up
The race is already on (you know)
No time to wait
Wake up
You're not alone anymore (come on)
Your chance is now
Die for glory little robot!
Always looking for some more
Who is human and who is not?
In two thousand forty four
Seek out
References are all hidden there (yeah)
From Star Trek to Python I swear
Remember not to forget
Adventure is as big as you get
Only as big as you get
Always as big as you
Die for glory little robot!
Always looking for some more
Who is human and who is not?
In two thousand forty four
