About the work
This paper analyzes the digital transformation, and the applicability of the European standards of innovation management, considering the digital transformation as an innovation process itself.
As a starting point to perform the analysis of the digital transformation, it has been used the digital transformation maps developed by some organizations, as well as additional information available about Industry 4.0.
The rules of innovation management that has been used as a reference, corresponding to the European standards CEN / TS 16555, and its national counterparts family UNE 166000, which have been supplemented by other rules although not innovation directly, they are affected directly or indirectly by the digital transformation process. Likewise, the evolution of some of them is proposed to adapt to this new digital revolution
