The Chair can be best described as a metaphorical journey through dissatisfying ambitions, interpersonal communication, addictive behaviors and depression by the hand of a fellow sufferer who presents the tools or spiritual rationalizations which can increase our chances of peace and happiness. One could be forgiven for mistaking its somber beginning for a prelude to darkness but this would mean missing out on the resolution of the issues and an inspirational ending.
