About the work
In this catalog I have collected editions of the works of artist Victor Vasarely. Which I classify them into two groups: the first are limited editions; which they are numbered and signed by the artist. Starting albums from 1955-1989, and then the plates are presented from 1949 to 1991. The second group are the unlimited editions. I began this work in 2010 with the intention to complete the technical details of the artist's works for an exhibition I presented in a gallery known in the city of Caracas. The exhibition was presented with the name of geometric COLLECTIBLES. The exibition was from November 2010 to March 2011. Thus was born the idea of completing the first catalog that I made, leading to what we call today "The catalog raisonné of Vasarely" since today day there is a catalog with the amount of information that it gathers. Catalogs that are in the market have little information about the work of this artist. Now with this catalog amates Vasarely's work will have access to reliable information. Achieving gather all this amount of information, it has taken me several years of research. This catalog is the result of that hard work.
