BACK COVER
HADES WALK is a modern serious parody from Dante’s masterpiece.
The plot opens on the evening of a Halloween. Michel Ron, a young writer has lost his path and now wanders through a dark forest. Here he encounters the spirit of Henry Miller, the American novelist author of the Tropics. Miller says that their trail will take them through the Dark City of Hades, but a female monster blocks them. Helpless, Ron turns to his guide that tames the creature.
Miller leads Ron by a gate marked with an awesome inscription. The two writers enter through a Hellfire Private Club door that is actually a time-space wormhole gate, which leads into Hades land, in the border of the Dark City.
The two writers next proceed to the walls of the Dark City of Dis, a sector contained within the larger region of Hades. The demons that guard the gates refuse to open them because of Ron live condition, until an angry seraph arrives from the Supreme to force the gates open and the two visitors enter the Dark City of Dis, a place similar to New York City after some kind of cataclysmic catastrophe.
From here on, the two writers will be visiting the Ten Circles of Pain, seeing in the Memory Mirror, and sometimes actually meeting, famous historical figures since the beginning of time to our present day. Prophets and popes, warriors and political leaders, bankers and politicians; artists and present day sport and media idols and celebrities, will appear each on their corresponding Circle of punishment.
Near the end of their journey into Hades, a thunderous light illuminated the all of space while a peaceful shine filled the atmosphere and a shinning figure of colossal size started to form high over the two writers heads. Its features were of extreme beauty and it was difficult to define in human standards weather it was a masculine or a feminine presence. The magnificent creature could be none other but an archangel if not God itself, due to the pleasure its presence brought. Then the magnificent being appeared to be attracted by the two visitors and fixed his angelic hypnotic gaze on them. An indescribable happiness filled their thoughts for what seemed an eternal lapse of time…Then the whole of the scene changed dramatically into a horrific one…
