The ancient habitants of Atacama desert have bequeathed a rich collection of immortal art works to us, in the form of cave and eaves paintings (pictographs), geoglyphs on hills and images on rocks (petroglyphs). Cave paintings and petrogly phs can often be found in other parts of the world that are not Andean, but the geoglyphs , with some exceptions, are from the coastal zone of west- central South America.
