This book covers Python programming topics, such as research, design, development and testing of electronic devices used in the Internet of Things (IoT) and digital image processing. You don't have to be a professional programmer, but you have the restlessness to solve problems and use your creativity and imagination.
The first part is dedicated to the theoretical explanation of all subsequent chapters, so that you don´t have to stop much in some theoretical concept and miss the opportunity to understand what we are doing to solve the problem we are dealing with in that moment. I only provide you with the fundamental theoretical information and if you have the need to further expand your knowledge, then, I suggest you research on your own initiative in libraries and on the internet.
In the second part of this book we will solve problems related to The Internet of Things. Here we will solve problems with digital ports and analog ports. Finally we will develop a Weather Station in which we will put into play all our programming knowledge and leave you the free of solve problems and make the changes that interest him. Keep in mind that the versions of the sensors and their libraries are changing day by day, as well as the Python and OpenCV versions; which is why I invite you to update the codes on your own, and otherwise it would be impossible for me to publish this book and other materials that I intend to publish.
Finally, the last part of this book is dedicated to Digital Image Processing, a very interesting field of programming because it´s the future of what is currently being implemented in systems dedicated to artificial intelligence. We will start by creating our own object classifier and see it´s advantages and disadvantages. Once we have our classifier, then we will use it in applications with the Raspberry Pi camera and a webcam. In our case, we will make a robot arm with two degrees of freedom move, taking as reference the information of the coordinates (x, y) of our detected image
