Synopsis outlining the script titled - LEAP OF FEAR:
In the heart of Railing, 5 friends - Lucy Barnsley, Jedward Carter, Talia Lopez, Sam Miller, and Jennifer Edwards leave Mr. Rupert’s psychology class with the knowledge that once they reach the age of 18 they will no longer be able to overcome their childhood fears. On the journey to their daily hang-out spot, The Brunch Time Café, they venture down a new, faster, unknown path not knowing the terrible, life-changing consequences this decision would bring.
At the end of this 'new' alleyway, they see a sign flashing in front of them. In tune with each other’s thoughts, they stop in their tracks, eyes focused on the sign with a leaflet pinned below it. Following the directions, they reach an old diner turned into a run down donut shop, just before their final destination. In the diner is an old porcelain doll which torments and scares the group until they run away. Having escaped from the doll they reach the Leap Of Fear building with a flashing neon sign on top, where a tall man dressed in a red bellman’s outfit with his mouth sewn shut appears. He makes them ‘sign their lives away’ and then gestures the group into the first room. Each room in the savage building is tailored to each characters fear and only those who overcome their childhood fear escape with their life.
Jed and Lucy, the only survivors, make their way to through the forest. Sensing they are being followed, they hurtle towards the main road. Suddenly, Jed gets his leg stuck in a bear trap. Jed urges Lucy to get away and she hitchhikes her way to the Railing Police station where she seeks ‘help’. After a series of frustrating tests, Detective Christopher Cragg and his partner Linda take Lucy to the Railing Bedlam where Psychiatrist Dr Elaine Blackheart deems Lucy sane.
Detective Cragg then takes Lucy back to the building where her friends lost their lives. Out of fear, Lucy throws a rock and smashes the glass but there’s nothing there!
