Se aporta un modelo matemático basado en un modelo de regresión logística binaria, que permite estimar el riesgo de mortalidad de cualquier paciente que sufra un accidente isquémico cerebrovascular y sea manejado sin tratamiento de reperfusión. El modelo permite tras la entrada de las variables, una salida doble. 1) Por un lado, proporciona una estimación puntual (en porcentaje) del riesgo de mortalidad del paciente durante el primer episodio de ingreso por este motivo, utilizando para ello diferentes variables, y destacando la categorización de la variable edad sobre el modelo previo registrado. 2) Por otra parte, el modelo es capaz de emitir un resultado según un score de puntuación de riesgo creado a partir de las variables introducidas tras ser objeto de actuación por la ecuación logística. Este puntaje emitido por el modelo para cada individuo, permite conocer el rango de riesgo de mortalidad del paciente (en este caso no la mortalidad puntual sino el abanico de riesgo), siendo estratificado en pacientes con un riesgo bajo, medio, alto y muy alto a partir de este score.
