The true story of those who secretly helped America the most in its quest for Independence. This is the story of the Basque trader Diego de Gardoqui, heir to a prominent merchant family in Bilbao, Spain, who with the secret support of King Carlos III of Spain and his principle ministers in Madrid, permitted Gardoqui to leverage longstanding relationships and friendships with such legendary American forefathers as George Washington, John and Abagail Adams, Ben Franklin, John Jay, and Arthur Lee to secretly help the Americans survive initial British attempts to quell the Americans quest for independence, and then during the Revolutionary War quietly launched their own military forces, while simultaneously financing the military might of the French so that the United States could once and forever secure its independence from Britain. At the center of all this was one man and his family, who inspired America´s forefathers with the democratic history of his own people in northern Spain, and who personally put everything on the line to help his American friends achieve what his own people had known for over 500 years. Una historia contada a partir de trece de piezas musicales escogidas entre los cancioneros de la época y música tradicional de la zona -con una notable presencia del sayagués Juan del Encina o de Fermoselle-, una selección de versos del poema Los Comuneros, de Luis López, y seis breves actos teatrales, compuestos a partir de textos de los cronistas Pedro Mexía, Fray Prudencio de Sandoval, Antonio de Guevara, Juan Maldonado, Diego de Colmenares, Alonso de Santa Cruz, Pedro Mártir y de los trabajos de historiadores como Manuel Dánvila, Cesáreo Fernández, Félix Santamaría, Antonio del Campo, Matías Sangrador, José Antonio Gutiérrez, Alfonso M. Guilarte, Manuel Fernández o Joseph Pérez.

Canción tributo a las costumbres de campo del Sur de Chile. Su creación surgió por encargo de un vecino en La Forida , originario de los Ángeles, que en algún jolgorio de tertulia puso como desafío el poder hacer una canción que relate su importancia en las casas del campo. Pasó el tiempo, yo me olvidé de ese "encargo", porque era finalmente como bromas, pero a los 10 años aproximadamente me llama por teléfono desde el Sur y me recuerda del encargo jajaja, por ello ahí si que di mi palabra de concretarla, tarea no tan fácil! ...y sin más lo demás lo intenta plasmar la canción!, al menos en su 1era versión!
