WOUNDED LOVE
09/24/2015
Song from the new EP of Joseph Martone and the Travelling Souls, "Glowing in the dark" (2015). "A genuine ballad that moves up in a new folk groove. A wounded love, ripped away by distances and time, of which remains the good vibe" (Music and Lyrics by Joseph Martone and Ned Crowther, performed by Joseph Martone and the Travelling Souls, recorded in Naples/Italy, mastered in Los Angeles/USA)

8-line (32-bar) blues song about missing the one you love (to the point of not knowing if time is going quickly or slowly): Lyrics I reach over to your side – three hours after midnight The sheets are stretched flat – clean, cold and white Time creeps by so slowly and I’m dreading tomorrow But it's been six days already, six days already I don’t cry, but I can’t sleep, I stare at the ceiling till dawn, Try to remember your laughter, but my memories are worn Time creeps by so slowly and I’m dreading tomorrow But it's been six days already, six days already I thought you’d always be with me, It’s so hard to keep going The house is silent and empty, nothing moves now you’re gone Time creeps by so slowly and I’m dreading tomorrow But it's been six days already, six days already I miss you, I miss you. I want you back where you were I miss you, I miss you, I want you back where you were Time creeps by so slowly and I’m dreading tomorrow But it's been six days already, six days …

Got My Walking Shoes On
05/26/2014
I’ve got my walking shoes on (got to keep on walking) I’ve got my rainproof hat on (got to keep on walking) I’ve got to keep on walking, walking all night long Know how long I’ll walk for? It’s a long, long road (I hope whisper) I have a north star lodestone (way off in the distance) That guides my wandering planet (got to keep on sailing) I’ve got to keep on sailing, sailing all night long Know how long I’ll sail for? It’s a long, long road (I hope) Crossing the sands of the desert (the dunes are endless) We never stop moving (the dunes are endless) We’ve got to keep on moving, moving all night long Moving through the moonlight Under a million stars I’ve got my walking shoes on (got to keep on walking) I’ve got my rainproof hat on (got to keep on walking) I’ve got to keep on walking, walking all night long Know how long I’ll walk for? It’s a long, long road (I hope)
