The music is inspired by "Shadows in the Mirror" a fractal art video by Lilia Morales y Mori. The video is based on different "environments", or pictures, separated by a repeated picture as an "intermezzo". So, the structural idea of the music consists of different brief musical pictures, like at an exhibition, separated by a "promenade". The structure and the title of the music is consciously inspired by Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition", but music is entirely original. Melodies are performed using an ethnic ensemble: Flute, Low Whistle, Pan Flute, Ethnic Drums, Drum Set, Triangle, Violin, Solo Female Voice, Female Choir. Music inspired by "Evolution: the future", a book by Marco Santini and the relevant video by Lilia Morales y Mori. Simple monothematic piece, ethereal beginning, harp glissando as a transition to the piano accompaniment. Two snares ensemble parts, for "generation of Adamo" and "funeral rites" of Martin. The chorus is the community. Final mysterious part, with abrupt end, to create suspence.
