Sam has spent her whole life waiting. Waiting for her mother to stop lying to her, waiting for her childhood friend to call, or email, or come to visit like she promised to so many years ago. Waiting for classes to finish, waiting for the day to end, waiting for high school to finish, waiting for night to arrive, waiting for day to come. Waiting, waiting, waiting. Her life has now become a dull, boring routine, in which waiting seems to be a common activity. She thinks she'll spend the rest of her life waiting but maybe, just maybe, she won't have to wait anymore.

Kevin is gay and never even saw the inside of a closet. He’s a player, a huge flirt, and never lingers enough to develop feelings for anyone. He knows he’s hot and that he’s intelligent, and because of that his ego is the size of the Everest. He loves bragging about the fact that he can play around as much as he wants without getting involved, but maybe, just maybe, the life of a player is no longer enough for him. Dustin is anything but gay… right? He’s the settler, long-term-relationship kind of guy. He’s had a crush on his best friend Emerald for God knows how long and seems to be content to crush on Em for the rest of his life if need be. But after all these years of loving and pining after someone that won’t even look at him twice, isn’t he tired of being ignored? Why hasn’t he moved on already? Is it really love he feels?

Oliver knows the exact amount of days he has spent in the orphanage he has lived in for the past nine years, three months and twenty days ago, and has, ever since, been waiting for someone to adopt him. He has had about a million interviews and no one ever wanted to adopt him. By now he has lost all hope. But maybe the million and one interview will be the charm. Salvador goes through life not caring about anything. He just doesn't understand why he should care when nothing was ever going to change in his shitty town. People have been turning a blind eye on what is done to him for years and he just can't bring himself to care anymore. But rumor has it there's a new guy in town, so maybe things still have a chance to change?
