Remember When I Saw You
My dearest I have looked at you,
When I lifted you up to heaven,
You held out your hands to me.
You were rewarded
When heroes perished,
In that bloody act
Where I was free in full.
I have watched as time goes by,
They have forgotten your importance.
And we pass under you until,
As if nothing mattered, And in school,
Nor your honor the children sing,
They seem to have forgotten,
Your loves and teachings.
