Developed and accredited by the United Metric Association for the Iran Management Association, the official owner of the award, the Sustainable Value Creation Award Model is an international framework designed to assess, guide, and recognize organizational excellence through sustainability, ESG performance, and long-term value creation.
Originally launched in 2015 by the Iran Management Association under the title Management Social Responsibility Award, the model has since undergone a comprehensive redesign and international alignment process. The current edition represents a fully restructured and accredited framework, validated to ensure global applicability, methodological rigor, and alignment with leading international standards.
Moving beyond compliance-driven and checklist-based approaches, the model adopts a maturity-based evaluation logic that assesses not only the existence of sustainability practices, but their depth of implementation, governance quality, and measurable impact over time.
The framework is organized around five core criteria—leadership and strategy, sustainable economic performance, environmental and climate responsibility, governance and ethics, and human capital and social engagement—supported by structured sub-criteria and a comprehensive system of core, sector-specific, and SME-adapted KPIs.
A robust scoring architecture integrates qualitative and quantitative indicators through standardized maturity levels, weighted scoring, normalization mechanisms, and evidence-based validation, ensuring fairness, comparability, and scalability across organizations of different sizes and sectors.
Beyond assessment, the model functions as a developmental tool by embedding structured gap analysis and targeted improvement recommendations, enabling organizations to systematically enhance performance and progress toward higher maturity levels aligned with global ESG agendas and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This book presents the official framework, scoring logic, and methodological foundations of the Sustainable Value Creation Award Model, serving as a reference for award owners, assessors, consultants, policymakers, and organizations seeking a credible and internationally aligned approach to sustainable value creation.
