And the situation becomes complicated by the theft of a genealogy book with information about Emma's ancestors, the kidnapping of Mr. Frank Churchill and the existence of a mysterious letter, used by Lord Flemming's lover to blackmail him, while the Prince Regent trembles, facing with an imminent scandal, which could end his government.
So this atypical trio led by the new detective Emma, who was asked for help by the Bow Street Runners, must deal with these cases, but the final sentence of the Court of Chancery, in the face of the emergence of new candidates, may surprise all those involved, and that tense relationship between Emma and Jane Fairfax changes, unexpectedly… Finally, where there was hatred, true love will emerge…
