Hypothesis

Cesar Sanchis Romero
Julia, a woman haunted by her past, claims to hear the voice of God. Convinced that her experiences are divine, she becomes the subject of a radical experiment conducted by a team of scientists determined to explain her "condition" through the lens of the scientific method. As the team dives deeper, they manipulate Julia's environment and diet in increasingly questionable ways, hoping to trigger and document her visions.
What begins as a controlled study spirals into a psychological and ethical minefield, revealing the scientists’ own obsessions and doubts. As the line blurs between faith and science, rationality and madness, each character is forced to confront the limits of their beliefs. Hypothesis challenges the audience to consider: Can science truly explain everything, or are there mysteries that defy all logic?
A tense exploration of trauma, belief, and the pursuit of truth, Hypothesis asks whether the search for knowledge can sometimes lead us too far from our humanity.
