This typical and poor Mexican marriage is instinctively guided, taking advantage of the difficult and tragic situations that are presented in their life, to finally discover the magnanimity in the smallness of human life, that is to find the whole of nothing.

MARTA, a beautiful femme fatale, becomes the suspect of an investigation after a suspicious car crash on Avenida Villajoyosa kills the man she was travelling with. The story of the crash has become the top news item in the city due to the ambiguous nature of the crash. An ambitious but naive young woman, ALICIA arrives in the city to start a new job as a reporter. She is excited because the job is in the same city as the love of her life, OSCAR. She hopes they can finally live and build a life together. Oscar is waiting for Alicia at the train station and he takes her to see their new apartment, a beautiful penthouse overlooking the Mediterranean. Alicia is sure she now has the perfect life. However, just as Oscar has left for work, a DETECTIVE shows up at the apartment and begins asking Alicia strange questions that make her nervous. The detective then leaves abruptly and Alicia heads to work but she feels something is not right. Upon meeting her BOSS, Alicia finds out that her first assignment is to interview Marta and try to discover what actually caused the car crash. Alicia goes to where Marta is staying but the meeting does not go as planned. Instead of finding out what happened in the car crash, Alicia’s dreams of the perfect life become a waking nightmare where no one is who they seem and what she discovers in the end will change her life forever.
