“A Dangerous Journey” is a unique, transmedia experience aimed at 12-16 year olds. It will live on an online platform and consist of three core elements. The first element is an interactive animated story experience, based on Holocaust survivor testimonies and archives, told from the point of view of three children fleeing persecution from Austria, France and Spain, who were detained at concentration camps in southern France. Their stories reflect and speak to one another, highlighting the horrors of hate, antisemitism, and racism through moving, human emotions. The second element is a generative AI tool for the users to create an artistic response to and reflection on the touching stories they’ve experienced. The pieces they create will then become part of the third component: a living online exhibition of works generated by the users, where students from different backgrounds can share and further develop ideas and messages together, offering an expanding dialogue on collective memory and emotional connection.
