Anualmente el día 21 de abril se celebra el “Día Mundial de la Creatividad y la Innovación”, una inmejorable ocasión para incitarte a liberar tu infinito potencial creativo haciendo uso de los mapas mentales. Y es que el mapa mental constituye una poderosa herramienta gráfica que provee la “llave maestra” para desencadenar el potencial ilimitado (y poco explotado) de la mente, al permitir utilizar asociadamente la gama completa de habilidades de los dos hemisferios cerebrales - palabras, imágenes, números, lógica, ritmo, color y sentido del espacio - en una forma poderosa y única, liberando el “pensamiento irradiante” del cerebro que conlleva un potenciamiento de la inteligencia creativa e innovadora.

Entonces ¿cómo accedemos a esta forma de pensar tan fascinante? Precisamente mediante el mapa mental, que es la expresión externa del pensamiento irradiante y por tanto, una función natural de la mente humana. Es una técnica gráfica para plasmar ese pensamiento, haciendo uso de formas y colores variados, dibujos, letras, símbolos, etc. Y la causa por la que los mapas mentales son tan efectivos es porque siguen los patrones de funcionamiento de nuestro cerebro.
