La chose la moins pire qui puisse leur arriver est de se faire tuer …Que leur arrivera-t-il à leur retour s’ils réussissent à survivre ?

Les Krogan vivent pour l’honneur et ils mourront pour lui. Un Krogan sans honneur est inimaginable. À quinze-mille années-lumière de chez elle, Tanit trouve que les choses sont très différentes du monde des humains. Là-bas, personne n’aurait jamais essayé de la tuer. Le fait d’être mariée à deux énormes Krogan, des êtres semblables à des tyrannosaures, est très rassurant. Auprès d’eux, elle se sent en sécurité ; ils la protègent. Cependant elle ne s’attendait pas à ce que le sens de l'honneur de cette espèce soit si crucial. À onze ans, c’est elle qui devra protéger sa nouvelle famille… en démontrant que son honneur est le plus grand de tous.
