The main objective of this material adapted from "the Holy Mass" is to bring people with intellectual disabilities and
their families closer to active participation when celebrating it, by creating tools that allow children with disabilities to
be initiated and to grow in the Catholic faith by accessing two of the sacraments of initiation: the Eucharist and
Confirmation. This first unit is unpublished and the beginning of many other Catholic Church catechetical materials that
the "Naim Project - Catechesis for all" intends to disseminate. Thus, this programme is aimed at children with different
capacities (e.g. autism, ADHD or Down syndrome), as well as adults who have not had access to the sacraments and,
due to their characteristics, cannot mature in the faith except through an adapted catechesis.
To guarantee the success of this instruction, it is essential for the catechesis to be individualised - a personalised
catechist for each catechumen - with specific materials, adapted to the needs and features of each, with parents being
directly involved in the religious instruction of their children. As the catechumens are receiving their training, parents
are instructed by a person giving them the guidelines to continue the work begun in the parish with their children at
home, and thus achieve this objective.
They should therefore attend mass on Sunday with their children
