About the work
The work consists of a decorative hair claw clip accessory formed in the shape of a symmetrical butterfly-inspired composition intended for securing and ornamenting hair.
The accessory incorporates a central claw-style hair fastening mechanism constructed with interlocking curved clamp components connected through a metallic spring hinge assembly. Extending outward from both sides of the fastening structure are large layered butterfly wing elements forming the principal ornamental composition.
Each wing structure features surfaces with gradient deep blue, navy, turquoise, teal, and black coloration combined with iridescent reflective effects and embedded ornamental vein-like illustrations distributed throughout the wing surfaces. The wings incorporate elongated pointed upper extensions, curved segmented lower wing formations, and elongated tail-like projections that together create a sculptural three-dimensional fantasy-inspired appearance. The lower wing sections further include wave-like contours and layered translucent detailing integrated into the composition.
Integrated into the central portion of each butterfly composition are metallic silver ornamental wing elements featuring openwork vein-like structures, textured internal surfaces, layered symmetrical detailing, and overlapping metallic contours positioned above the translucent wing backgrounds. The central fastening structure includes exposed metallic hinge components integrated into the ornamental composition while preserving the functional claw-clip mechanism.
The overall composition combines translucent resin-like materials, iridescent fantasy-inspired finishes, oceanic-inspired butterfly wing architecture, metallic ornamental hardware, layered sculptural detailing, and symmetrical decorative forms to create a decorative hair accessory. All wing illustrations, ornamental markings, internal vein patterns, fantasy-inspired motifs, and decorative surface artwork incorporated into the wing structures are original artistic expressions created by the author and constitute integral protected elements of the overall design composition. The visual identity of the work is defined by the specific arrangement of the oceanic butterfly wing formations, layered translucent contours, metallic internal wing detailing, integrated claw-clip structure, layered ornamental composition, and the balanced symmetrical configuration of all decorative elements.
