Our culture is obsessed with being special, as something we're born with, belongs to us, and we feel the need to impose it on other while at the same time it imposes a burden on us if we take it too seriously, when in reality, it seems to me that we're not "special", but rather we can "become" special, and this is not a badge to rub on other people's face, but a gift that we have to work for and cherish and be grateful for.
