Fall Detection Algorithm for Smartwatches
A fully in-house development by ViveLibre, this algorithm uses a combination of inertial sensors, photoplethysmography, barometric data, and positioning signals to detect falls. It has been tested and refined over a year with more than 300 real users.
Effectiveness: Detects 100% of actual falls.
Accuracy: Only 1 false positive every 10 days indoors, and 1 every 3 days outdoors.
