Title LA VIRGEN DEL CISTER ATRIBUIDA AL PINTOR SEVILLANO ANDRÉS PÉREZ
Andrés Pérez nació en Sevilla en 1660 y murió en la misma ciudad en el año 1727. Por tanto, en el momento de su nacimiento, Valdés Leal estaba realizando las pinturas del retablo de la Iglesia de San Benito.
A buen seguro, este pintor ejecutó la obra La Virgen del Cister (hoy en Iglesia parroquial de Santa María Magdalena de Sevilla. Capilla de la Hermandad de la Quinta Angustia), tomando como referencia el anterior cuadro de Valdés Leal desaparecido por causas desconocidas.
